2 books left off the Sequoyah list . . . .

I left 2 books off the list of new Sequoyah books.  They are Antsy Does Time by Neal Shusterman (hope it's as good as Unwind) and Stolen by Vivian Vande Velde.  I've added them to the list now.

OK--I know this isn't about reading but I just wanted to remind all of you to vote for Plainview alumni Daris George for biggest loser.  You can call (toll free) 866-492-6801 a total of 3 times from each phone that you have access to.  You can also go to www.nbc.com/the-biggest-loser/vote/ and vote 10  times.  This has to be done by Monday, May 24.

The winner of the Sequoyah Book Award is................

UNWIND by Neal Shusterman.  This is the book that won at Plainview MS and also statewide.  Guess we've got good taste!  If you haven't read this book go get it at the library and start reading it right now.  It was an awesome book.

Book Discussions

We had a book discussion on Thursday, May 13 about the book Schooled by Gordon Korman.  The book discussion was held during lunch and we talked about the book and ate pizza.  There were about 23 students and 5 teachers that were there.
